Kaon Interactive Partners With ASM to Promote Understanding of Revolutionary Advancements in Next Generation Sequencing at ASM Microbe 2016

Kaon's 3D Interactive Application Shows How NGS Applications in Microbiology Impact the Future of Science and Medicine

MAYNARD, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 17, 2016) - Kaon Interactive, the leading provider of interactive 3D customer engagement applications, announced today that its innovative solution is being used at the upcoming ASM Microbe 2016 Show in Boston to "bring to life" some of the world's top advancements in next generation sequencing (NGS), one of the most promising fields in science.

To showcase these advancements, Kaon has developed 8 digitally animated and interactive vignettes that provide easy-to-understand visual stories around some of the work of world-renown scientists. The Kaon ASM Advancing Microbe Science application will be prominently displayed on the ASM show floor in booth #1951 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) from June 16-20, 2016, and is now available in the Apple App Store for iPad download.

"NGS applications across the spectrum of microbiology domains have the potential to unleash massive advancements in medicine and science. The importance of these kinds of breakthroughs is evidenced by Bill Gates' participation as the keynote for this event," said Gavin Finn, Kaon's CEO. "We are pleased to be selected by ASM to communicate these amazing discoveries in a series of interactive storytelling vignettes that will shed light on how this field of science is truly changing our world."

About the Vignettes
The interactive vignettes provide a hands-on review of 8 selected abstracts and published papers from renowned scientists. These vignettes will include a description of the problem or situation, the reasons that NGS was used and details on the application of NGS, and the results and conclusions of the project. The vignettes are brought to life using Kaon's unique digital visualization and interactive animation platform.
