"Kappa Mikey" -- Popular Nicktoons Network Animated Comedy Series -- Expands Free Content Offering to Fans With New Games and Soundboards Kicks Off Month of Free Weekly Content

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 8, 2007 -- Beginning today, fans of "Kappa Mikey" -- the popular animated comedy series on Nicktoons Network -- will be able to download free games and soundboards every Monday for a month, the show's creator, Animation Collective, announced. The free, interactive content will be available on, the show's web site, where an RSS feed of its "Clip of the Week" is currently available as well as via podcast on iTunes.

Over the next month, will release two new games and two new soundboards for fans to enjoy. The first game, which debuted on Monday, February 5th, is "Lily Mu Squares," a takeoff of the "Hollywood Squares" game show using five levels of "Kappa Mikey" trivia involving all of the show's main characters plus Socky and Yoshi.

Over the next two Mondays, February 12 and February 19, the site will debut soundboards featuring phrases and clips from the show that fans can mix and match to make their own fun combinations. Lastly, on Monday, February 26th, the "Sushipaloozi" game will be available, in which players must match and clear sushi off the screen before their opponents. The game features 6 rounds of fast-paced puzzle action.

All of the new "Kappa Mikey" content will highlight the humor of the breakout Nicktoons Network hit animé comedy series about a struggling American actor-turned-Japanese animé star. The show is MTV Networks' first global acquisition and is the first anime show created and produced in the U.S. and not in Asia.

The 52-episode "Kappa Mikey" series is written like a sitcom and the story is a show-within-a-show. Each episode takes place on and off the set of LilyMu, a fictional Japanese TV series starring once-struggling American actor, Mikey Simon, as he adjusts to his new role as "Kappa Mikey," the biggest animé star Japan has ever seen. With its distinct style -- a combination of American and Japanese animation styles -- Mikey, drawn in thick-lined Pop Graphic style, is the only character on the show not depicted in animé. The series contains many pop-culture references and jokes for kids and adults alike.
