KARE 11 News Dominates Competition in February Demographic Ratings

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 22, 2007 -- KARE 11 News has recorded a remarkable sweep in the demographic ratings released today by Nielsen Media Research. They topped the competition in all newscasts. The ratings are for the highly valued Adults 25-54 viewers during the recently completed February ratings period.

KARE 11 News was the clear leader for the 6 a.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. shows.

"The real story here is that viewers are making a conscious decision to choose KARE 11 no matter what program leads into the news time period," said John Remes, president and general manager of KARE 11. "The share growth is remarkable from early morning through the 10 p.m. newscast."

"We have a long tradition of working hard to be the voice of this community," he continued. "These numbers say that we are on the right track."

Viewers between 25 and 54 years of age are highly valued by advertisers. Their loyalty is the industry benchmark of success and the basis for advertisers to make ad placement decisions.

"Viewers have a lot of choices for news and information," Remes said. "These numbers are great news for our advertisers and they also show that we continue to speak to our viewers; they make a choice every day to turn to us," he added.
