GOLDEN VALLEY, MN--(Marketwire - Jun 6, 2011) - KARE 11 announced today that it will be the official broadcast station to carry the November 14 Monday Night Football Game, Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers, from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.
KARE's local pre-game show will air from 6:30-7:30 p.m., prior to the 7:30 p.m. kick-off. KARE 11 News at 10 p.m. will air at the completion of the game.
"We are pleased to bring this game to our viewers. There are so many Vikings and even Packers fans in our audience," said John Remes, KARE 11 president and general manager. "This game has been historically one of the highest rated Vikings games each season, drawing Super Bowl-like audiences."
The Vikings vs. Packers game that aired on KARE 11 on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 had a household rating of 51.5. The Super Bowl, Sunday, February 6, 2011, earned a household rating of 54.1.
