Kaseya Earns Internationally Recognized Common Criteria Certification Achieving Stringent Government Security Standards

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - Mar 13, 2012) - Kaseya®, the leading global provider of automated IT systems management software, today announced that Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) has completed evaluation for an EAL2+ certification under the Communications-Electronics Security Group (CESG) in the United Kingdom. Kaseya actively participated in IT government security validations signifying the company's commitment to providing users with trusted product security.

In order to facilitate the complicated Common Criteria certification process, Kaseya partnered with Corsec Security, Inc., a leading independent consulting firm with over fourteen years of validation experience. Common Criteria is an internationally recognized set of guidelines (ISO 15408), which defines a common framework for evaluating security features and capabilities of information technology security products. The standard consists of several predetermined evaluation assurance levels, each one more stringent than the last. Common Criteria allows vendors to have their products tested against a chosen level by an independent third-party testing laboratory. The Common Criteria Mutual Recognition Agreement (CCRA) is a pact that was designed to allow all evaluations up to an evaluation assurance level (EAL) 4, to be recognized by all participating countries, regardless of where the evaluation was completed. There are currently 26 countries involved in the CCRA, with many others that follow unofficially. Many organizations around the world mandate Common Criteria certification for all information technology systems.
