Kearny Mesa Chiropractor Celebrates 25 Years Treating Injuries

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 26, 2012) - Kearny Mesa chiropractor Dr. Charles Salanger is celebrating over 25 years of successfully treating injury patients. Dr. Salanger announced that over the last 25 years, he has had tremendous success using chiropractic adjustments to treat personal injury, car accident injury and workers compensation. Dr. Salanger practices with Dr. Carol Spiegelman. Both chiropractors graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West and use the "whole person approach" to injury treatment. According to Dr. Salanger, he and Dr. Spiegelman focus on identifying and correcting the underlying cause for pain, in addition to help patients manage pain symptoms through non-invasive treatments.

San Diego chiropractor Dr. Charles Salanger announced that he is proud to be celebrating 25 years of providing natural pain relief for personal injury, car injury and worker's compensation injuries.

According to the chiropractor, his approach to treatment is different from traditional medical care. Dr. Salanger said his whole body approach addresses both a patient's pain symptoms as well as their underlying cause.

"I am proud to have helped so many patients over the last 25 years overcome pain to enjoy active, healthy lives," said Dr. Salanger. "My approach to pain management is different than traditional medical treatment. I don't want patients to rely on medication. Instead, I focus on addressing the underlying causes for pain. This approach corrects the problem and helps to optimize my patients' overall health."

Dr. Salanger stated that he treats patients by first identifying the underlying spinal subluxation or soft tissue injury. Once the problem area is located, he uses spinal adjustments to restore alignment, as well as physiotherapy methods for rehabilitation.

According to the doctor, personal injury may include a condition like a herniated disc. If the disc compresses nearby nerves, patients may experience a radiating sensation in the legs, buttocks and lower back. This condition, known as sciatica, will continue as long as the sciatic nerve is compressed. By identifying where the herniated disc is affecting the sciatic nerve, Dr. Salanger says he is able to correct this misalignment and provide relief.

"Chiropractic care is based on the fundamental principle of proper alignment," said Dr. Salanger. "An accident injury, such as whiplash or a herniated disc, can cause the body to be misaligned or damage the soft tissue. When the musculoskeletal system is out of alignment, the nervous system is unable to properly send and receive messages. In addition to experiencing chronic pain, patients are at risk for future injury, illness and fatigue."

Dr. Salanger graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1985 and received his diploma from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners that same year.

Together with Dr. Carol Spiegelman, Dr. Salanger has been practicing in San Diego for almost 20 years. The Kearny Mesa chiropractors provide care for the entire family.
