Keep Clam: Ivar's Everett Seafood Bar Closes Temporarily for Fresh New Feel and Menu Items

Ivar's Everett Seafood Bar to Undergo Interior Remodel; Adds Coca-Cola Freestyle and New Menu Items

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2012) - Ivar's, a Northwest seafood dining legacy, today announced it will temporarily close its Everett Seafood Bar beginning Oct. 8, with plans to re-open early November with a grand celebration that ushers in a fresh new interior and menu makeover. The popular Everett fast casual restaurant, located at 1520 41st Street near Everett Memorial Stadium, originally opened its doors in 1986, and this marks the first major makeover.

During the closure Ivar's will give a splashy update to the 3,828 sq.-ft. location, including brand new dining booths and counter-height seating, new flooring, and custom tables and chairs to provide comfortable and ample seating for all dine-in guests. In addition, there will be a new soup display for Ivar's world-famous chowders, as well as a fresh salad and sandwich station where salads will be hand tossed and sandwiches made to order. Ivar's will also update the overall aesthetics to include a clean, modern color scheme, new artwork, and bold new outdoor signage.

As part of the refresh, the Everett location will install a much talked about Coca-Cola Freestyle drink machine that lets customers choose from more than 125 sparkling and still beverage brands at the touch of a button. Further upping the dining ante, the new and improved Seafood Bar will feature brand new menu items alongside Ivar's classic Fish 'n Chips and Grilled Platters. A few of the new items include: Fresh-Baked French Bread Bowls, True Cod Fish Sandwich, Grilled Salmon BLT, Crab Cake Sandwich, Fish Tacos, Asian Prawn Soba Noodle Salad, and fresh baked Garlic Breadsticks and Cornbread Muffins.

To celebrate the grand re-opening, Ivar's will hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony, host clamtastic activities and offer giveaways. Full details will be announced at a later date.
