Keep It Local, Keep it Public community event to be held in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 5, 2012) - The Canadian Union of Public Employees and the Stand up for the North Committee are hosting a free community event entitled "Keep it Local, Keep it Public", this Wednesday, March 7.

This event will feature a screening of the film "Water Makes Money" that will then be followed by a panel discussion.

The film explores privatization of water in Europe and the movement to regain control of public water resources. The panel will discuss the importance of keeping services public and will also discuss the recent attempt to privatize water in Abbotsford B.C.
