Keiretsu Forum Angel Investors and Naxuri Capital Launch Technology and Fashion Accelerator

Keiretsu Forum Angel Investors Spread Their Wings Toward Fashion

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - Keiretsu Forum, the world's largest private equity angel investment network, and Naxuri Capital, a new investment firm, announce the launch of "Ahead of the Fashion" (AF) accelerator program, commencing on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The City Club located at 155 Sansome Street in San Francisco, California. The Honorable Willie Brown will be the featured guest speaker.

AF is an accelerating growth program for early stage technology ventures in the consumer, retail, and fashion industries. Each month, five startups will present to a panel of Keiretsu Forum angel investor members and industry experts. The events will feature fashion shows with two fashion designers and a guest speaker to share insights into industry trends and growth opportunities. The top presenters from the monthly events will be invited to participate in the first class of the AF accelerator in June 2012.

"One of the key differentiators of Keiretsu Forum is the high quality diverse deal flow," said Randy Williams, Founder & CEO of Keiretsu Forum. "Providing resources to the entrepreneurial community is as important as providing capital. We look forward to developing relationships with entrepreneurs at an early stage and help them accelerate into viable businesses."

AF is not only about fostering the growth and success of promising technology and fashion start-ups, but also transforming San Francisco as the Fashion Technology Capital of the World. AF aims to utilize the spirit of technology and enterprise that is the essence of the San Francisco Bay Area, and create an environment that allows a new generation of upcoming and promising technology and fashion start-ups to grow and thrive.

"We focus on building great companies with entrepreneurs that are excited about the new fashion and retail landscape," said Enrico Beltramini, Co-founder and Managing Director of Naxuri Capital, a new investment firm based in Palo Alto, and a Keiretsu Forum member. "We invest in early stage, capital efficient companies that provide technology and embedded technology in the fashion and retail industries."

The AF events will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in San Francisco, California. Early stage technology start-ups in the consumer, fashion, and retail space, as well as fashion designers that plan to incorporate technology in their fabric and style, are invited to apply to the AF accelerator program and present at the monthly event. On-line applications can be submitted via the AF web site at

"The AF program recognizes and encourages the increasing dialogue between technology entrepreneurs and fashion designers," said Sonja Markova, Managing Director of Keiretsu Forum. "We look forward to fostering innovation and exchange of capital and resources at the intersection of technology, consumer, retail, and fashion."
