Keiretsu Forum Angels Fund Remote Control Mail™

Keiretsu Forum Portfolio Company, Document Command, Raises $2.8M in Series A Convertible Note Round Funding

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 1, 2007 -- Keiretsu Forum, the nation's largest investment community of private equity (angel) investors, VCs and corporate investors, today announced the investment of its members in Document Command, whose invention Remote Control Mail™ does for postal mail what cell phones did for telephone calls -- a technological feat which now allows people to receive and manage their postal mail remotely, from anywhere in the world, 24x7, without having to be at their office or home to do it.

Document Command has received commitments for $2.8M in convertible note debt financing. The note will convert into a $10M Series A round, that the company expects to raise in Q2 2007, with members of the Keiretsu Forum Northern California and Pacific Northwest chapters staking the round. The funding will enable Document Command to accelerate the roll-out of their services to waiting customers including Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies and national post offices. The company's popular Remote Control Mail™ service is already in use by residential and business customers in over 80 countries.

"Keiretsu Forum provides a structured approach to private equity investments, allowing like-minded business leaders to work together and assess investment opportunities and then make individual investment decisions," said Randy Williams, Founder and CEO of Keiretsu Forum. "Keiretsu Forum Angels appreciate paradigm-shifting companies, such as Document Command, because they not only ease the pain in their particular industry, but can also improve the quality-of-life for our world community."

In this instance Keiretsu Forum members invested in Document Command due to the sharp business acumen of both the business model and its founder and CEO, Ron Wiener. Mr. Wiener is an angel investor himself and is an active member of the Keiretsu Pacific Northwest Chapter.

Recently, at the Keiretsu Forum Summit, in the East Bay, Mr. Wiener captured the floor of Bay Area investors when he explained that, "Certain industries, like insurance, legal, and accounting dominate what has become a $30 billion annual expense on mailroom and document outsourcing. Documents are the lifeblood of these industries and yet the current solutions available remain ineffective with 80% of the cost going directly toward the physical handling of paper -- this is the great pain Document Command easily puts to rest. Our technology platform extends all the way up to a national post office that wants to become truly internet-enabled, which means the total size of the market we address is $900B globally."

Document Command is Ron Wiener's fifth turn in the barrel as the founder and CEO of a venture-backed technology company. Two of his previous ventures include, a breakthrough innovator in the domain name industry and (sold to Kinko's/FedEx).
