SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - July 14, 2010) -  Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a leading California business and real estate law firm, announces the expansion of its litigation practice group with the addition of Keith Yandell, as an associate, in the firm's San Francisco office.

Yandell's practice focuses primarily on individual and putative class actions involving the financial services industry, including mortgage origination practices. In litigating these matters, he regularly appears in federal court and has succeeded in eliminating numerous actions at the pleadings stage. He has also lectured on topics related to lending law, including the Truth in the Lending Act, California Civil Code § 1632 and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. His clients include prominent financial service providers throughout the U.S.

"Keith is one of San Francisco's top up-and-coming attorneys and his addition exemplifies our continued commitment to providing quality service to our clients," said John Gamble, managing partner of Allen Matkins' San Francisco office. "We are very pleased to welcome him to the firm."

In addition to his work in the financial services field, Yandell handles a wide variety of other litigation matters ranging from mass tort cases to contract disputes. He has also successfully litigated many pro-bono cases, including assisting a non-profit organization in its effort to retrieve money that an employee embezzled, and representing aliens attempting to obtain asylum.

For six years Yandell practiced at Reed Smith LLP along with litigation partner Marshall Wallace, who joined Allen Matkins' San Francisco office in June 2010.

Yandell joins Allen Matkins' litigation practice group of approximately 80 attorneys statewide, whose practice is comprehensive and is recognized nationwide for its expertise in handling all aspects of business and commercial, real estate, construction, bankruptcy, environmental and toxic tort, products liability, and labor and employment litigation. Allen Matkins is known for its track record of winning cases in state and federal court and arbitrations.

Yandell earned his J.D. at the UCLA School of Law in 2004 where he was also on the board of the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with highest honors in both Political Science and American Studies. Yandell also received the Presidential Scholarship which supported traveling to Florida to complete his honors thesis, "The Impact of Indian Gaming."
