Kelly Educational Staffing Names Madeleine Oliver as 2006-2007 Substitute Teacher of the Year

Jackson, MS Resident Selected From More Than 18,000 Substitute Teachers


TROY, MI--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Kelly Educational Staffing, a service line of staffing leader Kelly Services, announced that Madeleine Oliver will be honored as Substitute Teacher of the Year during the Pearl Public School District board meeting this evening at 5:30 p.m. The board meeting is held at the school district's central office located at 3375 Highway 80 East in Pearl.

The award will be presented to Mrs. Oliver by Dr. John G. Ladner, superintendent of schools, along with Scott Smith, vice president for Kelly Educational Staffing, Larry Lee, district manager, and Beverly Tolbert-Johnston, senior supervisor for Kelly Educational Staffing in Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Oliver is being recognized for her outstanding performance and exemplary service as a substitute teacher in the Pearl Public School District during the 2006-2007 school year.

"Mrs. Oliver has certainly been an asset to our teaching staff this past year, and we, too, recognize her value as an employee of Kelly Services," said Dr. Ladner. "We are very excited about her national recognition."

A resident of Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Oliver holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in education from Millsaps College in Mississippi, and was a former teacher at Yazoo City High School and Woodland Hills Baptist Academy in Jackson.

After completing 25 years of employment with a major insurance company, Mrs. Oliver decided to return to the teaching profession and began substitute teaching for Kelly Educational Staffing in 2003. Additionally, John Oliver, Madeleine's spouse, is a former Kelly Educational Staffing substitute teacher and also teaches in the Pearl Public School District.

In honor of Mrs. Oliver's achievement as Substitute Teacher of the Year, Kelly Educational Staffing will present her with a certificate of recognition and she will receive $500 worth of award points redeemable for merchandise and/or gift certificates.
