Kelly Educational Staffing(R) Names Scott Moore as National Substitute Teacher of the Year

Santa Clara, Utah Resident Selected From More Than 20,000 Substitute Teachers Across the U.S.

TROY, MI--(Marketwire - May 1, 2012) - Kelly Educational Staffing (KES®) (NASDAQ: KELYA) (NASDAQ: KELYB), a specialty service of Kelly Services®, has selected Scott Moore as the national Substitute Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. Mr. Moore is being recognized locally during National Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-11, 2012, for his outstanding performance and exemplary service as a substitute teacher at Fossil Ridge Intermediate School in the Washington County School District in St. George, Utah.

An award will be presented to Mr. Moore during an all faculty staff meeting at Fossil Ridge Intermediate School on Monday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. As the national Substitute Teacher of the Year, Mr. Moore will receive a $1,000 bonus from KES, and in addition, $1,000 will be donated to the school.

Mr. Moore, a resident of Santa Clara and father of six children, said 'education has always been a priority' in his home. He holds a bachelor's degree in social work and gerontology from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. In addition, not only is his wife, Dianna, a high school teacher, but two of his children have graduated with education degrees.

After taking early retirement from a career with the federal government, Mr. Moore started substitute teaching in 2004. In 2008, Mr. Moore transitioned to KES when the partnership began with the Washington County School District. "Working with young people has always been a rewarding experience for me and I enjoy helping students prepare for their futures," said Mr. Moore. "It is gratifying to know I have made an impact on a student when they remember me from several years ago, having spent only a short amount of time with them in the classroom."

Each year, as part of a long-standing tradition and an integral component in demonstrating how KES values employees, field managers have the opportunity to nominate substitute teachers for a state-level Substitute Teacher of the Year award. Nominations are based on performance, feedback and recommendations from permanent teachers and school administrators at the schools where the substitute teachers have been assigned. Winners of the state-level Substitute Teacher of the Year award receive a $100 bonus and are then eligible for the national Substitute Teacher of the Year award.

"KES is thrilled to recognize Mr. Moore for the positive impact he has made at Fossil Ridge Intermediate School. We fully appreciate the commitment our employees make to both the students they teach, as well as to KES," said Nicola Soares, vice president, Kelly Educational Staffing. "As a partner in education, Kelly® is pleased to donate $1,000 to Fossil Ridge Intermediate School on behalf of Mr. Moore, as part of our 'giving back' to the communities in which we serve."
