TROY, MI--(Marketwired - November 22, 2016) - Kelly Services® , a global leader in providing workforce solutions, today announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce has affirmed Kelly's self-certification to the new EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. The framework provides a legal basis to allow for transfer of personal information from the European Union (EU) to the U.S. and replaces the EU-U.S. Safe Harbor, with which Kelly Services was already compliant.

While joining the Privacy Shield Framework is voluntary, once an eligible company makes the public commitment to comply with the Framework's requirements, the commitment will become enforceable under U.S. law.
