PORTLAND, ME and WASHINTON, DC--(Marketwire - Aug 8, 2011) - Kemp Goldberg Partners, a nationally recognized advertising, public relations and interactive agency, today announced the official launch of its Public Affairs practice. Working on behalf of its clients, and at the intersection of private enterprise and public interest, Kemp Goldberg Partners Public Affairs targets legislators, policymakers and regulators, as well as industry leaders and media who influence them. To better serve its growing roster of public affairs clients, the agency recently opened a new office in Washington, D.C. at 2025 M Street NW, Suite 800.

"Our public affairs practice has been providing value to our clients for close to a year now," states David Goldberg, principal at Kemp Goldberg Partners. "We wanted to prove that a public affairs offering would sync well within a full-service advertising, public relations and interactive agency before announcing it as a strategic arm of our business." By bringing to bear the talents, skills and experience of a full-service firm, Kemp Goldberg Partners' clients can achieve their reputation- and issues-based objectives across all relevant channels. These include earned media through public relations, all forms of print, broadcast and digital media, events and 1:1.

"Our public affairs purview takes us wherever our clients require advocacy, reputation management and stakeholder engagement, including inside the Beltway, state and local campaigns and on the web," states Derek LaVallee, director of public relations and public affairs at Kemp Goldberg Partners and a former staff member at the White House and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon in the Clinton/Gore Administration.

In June, Kemp Goldberg Partners expanded its team of public affairs practitioners with the addition of Senior Account Executive Chris Philbrook.
