Ken Marlow Named Chair of Waller Healthcare Department


NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwired - Sep 3, 2013) - Waller, Nashville's oldest and largest law firm, announced that partner W. Kenneth "Ken" Marlow has been appointed chair of the firm's healthcare department, a multi-disciplinary team of more than 100 attorneys. In his new role, Marlow will lead initiatives to further strengthen Waller's position as one of the nation's preeminent healthcare law firms.

About Ken Marlow
Marlow has spent his entire legal career with Waller where his practice centers on healthcare mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and the development of innovative business models. As part of his transactional practice, Marlow advises clients on various aspects of federal and state healthcare regulatory issues. He has earned a reputation for his ability to overcome complex transactional hurdles with a cooperative and collaborative approach. Marlow has guided the acquisition of more than 25 acute care hospitals in deals with an aggregate value of more than $2.5 billion. Marlow earned his J.D. from University of Tennessee College of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University. Prior to joining Waller, he served as the Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Bailey Brown, Senior Judge United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations, Business Law and Health Law Sections of the American Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association. Marlow is a former member of the board of directors of Leadership Health Care.
