Ken Miller Frames the Vision of His Campaign in a Speech at a Gathering in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - August 14, 2009) - Ken Miller will frame the basis of his run for Governor around five main points tonight in a speech he will deliver at the Carlos Anacondia Crusade in Civic Center Plaza, 1 Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco.

Miller also believes that, "California is the nation's breadbasket and we need to ensure that we continue to provide not restrict water for our farmlands, as it will create thousands of jobs and stimulate the state's economy: We need to reform and reduce business Taxes and Regulations so we can attract new business, stimulate business expansions, increase jobs and protect our high tech industry. Additionally, we need responsible not unreasonable environmental regulations that protect our economy, people and the earth, while allowing for an Energy policy that acknowledges current needs with plans to address future needs using wind, solar, nuclear power plants and yes, drilling for oil and natural gas. Finally, compassion and assistance for those hardest hit by the recession, will come from the Church and charities as well as the government. However, the most effective way for government to help is to get out of the way, remove regulations and allow people to create jobs and prosper."

In September, Miller and his family will start walking the state of California, from north to south, and will meet with the people of this state and listen to their concerns, their passions and their needs. In a recent speech, Miller told those gathered, "I am running because I care. I care about you, I care about this state and I care about this country."

Miller grew up in suburban Los Angeles and Washington DC, as well as North Central Pennsylvania. Professionally he worked in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast before returning to what he calls his home -- California -- in 2003. He is fiscal conservative with a business background and social conservative with a pro-life, pro-marriage and pro-immigrant stance. He is married to Kathy Miller and they have two children: Mary Kathryn (9) and Mary Elizabeth (7). He is a devout Christian and member of Harbor Light, First Assembly of God, with Pastor Terry Inman in Fremont, CA.
