DETAILS: Business-critical knowledge often leaves a company along with the departure of an employee; that's just one of the many reasons why employee engagement and retention are top priorities. During this session, Erickson, who has more than 25 years of experience in employee survey research, employee assessment and leadership consulting and development, will divulge why employee engagement is the biggest controllable factor in retaining and motivating employees. He will cover how to engage employees to not only stay longer with the organization but also to motivate them to be more productive, more conscientious, less error-prone and more inclined to take better care of customers. Erickson will also discuss how to focus these efforts on retaining the very best people at each level within an organization, and why turnover of the least productive employees can be beneficial.

Additionally, Erickson will review aspects of employee engagement surveys, a key strategy that provides employers with actionable data on the attitude and perceptions of their employees, providing opportunities for making important organizational changes. Session attendees will learn about the four key components of the employee engagement survey process: Instrument Design, Administration, Reporting/Analysis, and Behavior Change. By the end of this session, attendees will understand how to identify action-oriented employee engagement plans that are specific, measurable and accountable.
