Kestrel Gold Inc. (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:KGC) has staked additional claims around its Gulf Property, part of the King Solomon Dome Project, expanding the property from 840 hectares to over 3,200 hectares.

"The Gulf Property expansion was undertaken to secure favourable geophysical and structural trends defined during the 2010 season. This significant grass-roots discovery contains rock sample values of up to 51.2 ppm gold and soil sample values of up to 965 ppb gold, which certainly warrant this significant increase in the property size. The identification of potential geophysical and structural controls for this mineralization helped us define further targets in the area, which have subsequently been covered by these additional claims." stated Kevin Nephin president and chief executive officer.

The King Solomon Dome Project consists of 4 distinct properties located within the Tintina Gold Belt that extends across the Yukon and Alaska and contains several major deposits including Pogo, Donlin Creek and Fort Knox, as well as recent discoveries such as White Gold, Rau and Coffee. Project geology consists of various schist and gneiss units with mineralization concentrated within quartz veins, altered and sheared or weakly brecciated host rocks in zones generally parallel, and adjacent, to regional scale thrust faults or associated with intrusive bodies.
