Kewill Customer Lufthansa Cargo Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100

Leading Supply Chain Industry Publication Recognizes Kewill's Work on Lufthansa Cargo Airfreight Logistics Project

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM and CHELMSFORD, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2015) - Kewill, a leading provider of innovative software for supply chain execution, alongside its customer, Lufthansa Cargo AG, has been selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for the publication's 13th annual listing of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100, which highlights "100 Great Supply Chain Projects." Kewill was chosen for delivering transformative results for Lufthansa Cargo, including a seamless transition from a legacy logistics system that allowed Lufthansa Cargo to remain competitive and update its supply chain and logistics processes.

This exciting project allowed Kewill to modernize Lufthansa Cargo's interfaces for different customs authorities, specifically preparing the Company to meet new airfreight industry standards set for filing German and Austrian customs. Kewill unifies message trigger points, allowing Lufthansa Cargo to receive and react to alerts in a timely manner, ultimately permitting their supply chain to continue to progress without being hindered by unexpected interruptions. Kewill was also able to increase Lufthansa Cargo's supply chain transparency by displaying their customs status from point of shipment to customer delivery, which has improved customer relations.

"Working with Kewill to elevate our supply chain and logistics processes has not only allowed us to meet our objectives in remaining compliant with international customs, but it has enhanced visibility into our supply chain, allowing us to better serve our partners and customers," said Walter Isselhard, Director Implementation Management IT. "We are proud that our work with Kewill has gained us recognition as a Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 honoree."

"At Kewill, our ultimate goal is to help our customers vastly improve their businesses by exceeding their expectations and delivering solutions that accelerate achievement of their supply chain initiatives," said Bob Farrell, president and chief executive officer at Kewill. "Delivering on this promise for Lufthansa Cargo was especially rewarding for our team, but for this work to be recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine as well, is an honor. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of technology to drive supply chain execution forward."
