Kewill's Celeste Catano Honored as Leader in ACE Preparedness

Supply Chain Expert Recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive for Third Consecutive Year

CHELMSFORD, MA--(Marketwired - February 18, 2016) - Kewill, a leading provider of innovative software for supply chain execution, is pleased to announce that Senior Global Strategist Celeste Catano has been recognized as one of the "Pros to Know" by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. This is the third year in a row that Celeste has been named to the list as a result of her influence and achievements.

Year after year, Catano remains at the forefront of customs regulations and requirements. She is the industry thought leader on all matters concerning the United States' Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), and this expertise guides her work at Kewill, her participation in the U.S. Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations (COAC), and her role as the Co-Chair of the Transition Committee of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trade Support Network since 2001.

Catano works to educate Kewill customers on all facets of ACE to make sure they have the key elements in place, including understanding the requirements and regulations specific to each industry, starting the transition from paper to electronic filing, and troubleshooting potential problem areas in the transition well ahead of the final deadline. Catano was one of the first figures in the field dedicated to spreading awareness about ACE, and she is passionate about sharing her knowledge on the topic. At Kewill she ensures customers are equipped with as much information as possible so they can avoid putting their businesses at risk and is happy to explain how Kewill's software can help customers prepare for new regulations and guidelines.

"Kewill values having highly competitive supply chain technology solutions as well as the best talent and thought leaders in the industry," said Doug Braun, CEO of Kewill. "Celeste is a true visionary and is at the forefront of ACE preparedness. She works day in and day out to make sure our customers are fully prepared for all regulation and compliance updates, even as the federal deadlines continue to change. We are thrilled to see her hard work recognized by such a well-respected publication and look forward to her continuing to shape the industry."

In March of 2015, Catano was appointed to a two-year seat on the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations to US Customs and Border Protection (COAC), which is focused on the One U.S. Government at the Border initiative, and the Trade Modernization subcommittee. To these committees, Catano brings extensive knowledge of policy development and compliance improvement within the trade community. She makes expert recommendations on automated support systems to both these committees and her customers.

"It is no surprise that Celeste has been recognized as a 'Pro to Know'," said Amy Magnus, Director of Customs Affairs and Compliance for A.N. Deringer Inc. "Those of us who have worked closely with Customs and Border Protection and the participating government agencies have known this for some time."
