Keynote Speaker Announced for APPNATION NYC + TV 3.0 Summit

NBC News' Chief Digital Officer Vivian Schiller to Bring Experience, Insight, Expertise and Inspiration to APPNATION Stage

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 26, 2012) - APPNATION, a new kind of conference and exposition singularly focused on the burgeoning mobile app economy, today announced that NBC News' Chief Digital Officer Vivian Schiller will deliver the keynote for APPNATION NYC + TV 3.0, the annual conference of the app and digital media economy, to be held May 15-16, 2012 in New York City.

Schiller will deliver the APPNATION NYC + TV 3.0 opening keynote at 9:15 a.m. on May 16, sharing insights on the state of the industry, the impact of new platforms on media consumption, and how mobile and apps have and will continue to impact the world we live in. Bloomberg Businessweek editor Josh Tyrangiel will moderate, exploring the impact of multiscreen convergence and second-screen services on the digital media industry.

A media executive and journalist with 25 years' experience in the industry, Schiller leads the digital strategy for both NBC News and MSNBC. Her responsibilities include strategic oversight of the network's digital extensions on the web and in mobile, interaction with the Joint Venture that oversees the digital network, as well as providing direction to the network's new emerging properties such as and Prior to NBC News Schiller served as President and CEO of NPR.
