Kgomotso Tsatsi (KG) Reaches Quarter Finals at USA World Showcase in Las Vegas

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 6, 2007) - Kgomotso Tsatsi (KG) from Canada has reached the quarter finals in the USA World Showcase. KG is a 20 year old singer/song writer/musician and aspiring actress. KG is two steps closer to winning the grand prize of $100,000.00.

From August 19th to August 24th, supporters from around the world were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestants of the USA World Show Case. Participants, after being narrowed down from 40,000 hopefuls to 200 were put into groups of 25. Each participant is now expected to secure enough votes to go to the next level. The USA World Show case is a talent competition held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. KG won a trophy in the acting Monologue. She won a similar trophy in Florida in 2006.

KG also participated in the South African Idol competition. After a spine-chilling performance of Alanis Morisette's "Uninvited" she wowed the judges and went on to compete in the finals. She went up to the top six of the Idol competition in 2003, being the youngest competitor present. After Idol competition, KG did performances in South Africa.

KG has been heating up the local scene in Toronto and surrounding areas. She recently won rave reviews after a stunning performance at "Honeyjam", a female showcase where Nelly Furtado was discovered. As a winner of The Beat 91.5 FM's "Rhythm of the Future" she has recorded a song with world renowned producer Marcus Kane, which is to hit Toronto airwaves soon. KG is currently recording and producing her EP, which will be distributed soon.

Viewers can vote for KG at or from September 9th to September 14th. Viewers can vote as many times as they want, but one must always go back to the main page to re-vote, click on KG and take it from there.

KG is also involved in various community projects. The most recent one is YWCA Toronto Girl Jam. Talks are underway for KG to perform at this musical event whose aim is to build leadership of women and girls to promote community and artistic response to all forms of violence against vulnerable members of society, women and children.
