KidSnips Styles Hollywood's Latest Trends

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Apr 30, 2014) - KidSnips, Chicagoland's premier locally owned group of family hair salons, is always up-to-date and offers styles and cuts of Hollywood's latest trends at any of their nine local area salons. Some of these new styles for 2014 were on full display at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week. There are some distinct cuts taking place for both men and women this year.

For guys, KidSnips is seeing true "undercut" styles. These styles include quite a bit of deep, clean side parts and tightly faded graduating and super short lengths from their sides down to their necklines. The tops of these fresh styles are where the looks differ. Depending on the length left on top, the looks can be dramatically different.

Girls' styles are incorporating waterfall braids and soft loose curls. The classic French braids that were seen in the '90s are back. Cute modern pixie cuts (like Jennifer Lawrence) are sending women to the salon to cut their long hair short. Also, as featured during New York Fashion Week, KidSnips is seeing girls asking for more fun and brightly colored hair extensions and smooth ponytails. Finally, another unexpected source for a popular look this spring comes from the Disney animated movie Frozen. Inspired by the character Elsa, there are many girls wanting to wear their hair just like hers with a loose braid or a small side braid that goes up into a bun in back.

"KidSnips really caters to those boys, girls, teens and even adults wanting the latest Hollywood and celebrity haircuts and styles," said Jill Gordon, co-owner of KidSnips, "We think it is important for all our stylists to stay up-to-date on the latest trends as to be able to offer these types of styles to any customer walking in the door."

KidSnips opened its first salon in 1997. It was founded by two moms who were frustrated by the lack of quality options to get their children's hair cut. They recently launched a newly updated web site with important information for parents of children and teens looking to get their hair cut at one of the nine local Chicago area salons. KidSnips prides itself on offering fun, stylish haircuts for clients of all ages by highly trained professionals. In addition, all nine salons offer kids' hair products along with the option to purchase toys from a wide variety of selections including even the most hot/hard to find items.

KidSnips is headquartered in Chicago, IL. If you would like more information or to schedule an interview about these recent style trends with Jill Jensen, please contact Michael Dylkiewicz at GenEra Strategies, 312-854-0137 or mdylkiewicz@GenEraStrategies.com.
