Kilgore Minerals Acquires Uranium Exploration Database

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2005) - Kilgore Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:KAU) (shares issued: 17,895,776) reports that it has completed the acquisition of an extensive uranium exploration data base covering portions of Southeast Montana and Northeast Wyoming. The package includes rotary and diamond drill core data from 529 holes with a total footage of approximately 1,000,000 feet. The work was completed over a period of 10 years (1970-1980) by Montana Nuclear, American Nuclear, Exxon, Amoco and Uranium Resources Inc. ("URI"). The majority of the work was carried out on Kilgore's 100% owned ELLA group of claims in Carter County, Montana.

In 1980, URI conducted an "IN-SITU LEACH AMENABILITY STUDY" of Amoco's Alzada Prospect which is now Kilgore's ELLA claim group. The work was done for Amoco under a joint venture agreement between URI and Amoco. URI was a pioneer in the field of in-situ uranium mining technology and is a leader in the industry today. The study included a column leach test and a three well hydrology test. The leach test was conducted on core samples from the current ELLA property and concluded that the mineralization is favourable for in-situ leach with 90% uranium recovery using a non-toxic mild alkaline leach solution. Chemical reagent costs were low, comparable to South Texas in-situ operations. Hydrological evaluation of the pump down test indicated that the formation properties for transmissivity and permeability are excellent for in-situ leach. The completion of a 22 well in-situ pilot test was highly recommended.

In the coming weeks, Kilgore will be organizing and cataloguing the data package. Also, the company will be contacting a number of geological engineering firms with particular expertise in the evaluation of sandstone hosted uranium deposits to the end of commissioning further evaluation of the ELLA claims.

Kilgore Minerals is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural resource properties. The company holds interests in ten uranium properties and three gold properties, all of which are located in the United States.
