Kilopass Recruits Bruce Bateman for Development of the Next-Generation Memory

Master Innovator and Circuit Designer to Expand Kilopass' Product Offering Portfolio

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2014) - Kilopass Technology Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor logic non-volatile memory (NVM) intellectual property (IP), today announced the appointment of Bruce Bateman as its Engineering Fellow to join innovation efforts for the next new alternate memory.

"We are excited to have Bruce join us in our next major product expansion," said Kilopass CEO, Charlie Cheng. "We have been assembling the best of the industry's innovators to bolster our research and development of next-generation technology, and Bruce fits the bill perfectly for our new projects with his expertise in numerous RRAM, SRAM, and other successful memory developments."

"Bruce has 22 years of experience in the semiconductor memory industry as an original innovator. He is known for his many contributions at Unity Semiconductor as a groundbreaking memory designer and leader. At T-RAM Semiconductor, Inc., he was team director for the design and development of SRAM chips and he was a key contributor on Metal-Oxide RAM development at Rambus," said Kilopass Senior Vice President of R&D, Harry Luan. "Bruce has over 14 breakthrough patents in memory, circuit design, and improving processor performance. We are very pleased to have Bruce join our team as we pioneer the next-generation memory."

"As processor architectures achieve ever more performance at continually reduced power budgets to fit the growing demand of portable electronics, memory continues to be the pacing element in total system design," said Bruce Bateman. "It is my driving ambition to build memory structures that meet the needs of these next-generation processors. Kilopass provides me an opportunity to realize this ambition and I am thrilled at the challenge."
