Kinaxis Awarded for Making a Significant Impact on Customers' Efficiency, Customer Service and Overall Supply Chain Performance

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 18, 2005) -

Response Management Provider Featured in Global Logistics & Supply Chain Strategies 100 Great Supply Chain Partners

Global Logistics & Supply Chain Strategies (GL&SCS) magazine, a leading industry periodical for senior-level supply-chain management executives, recently honored Response Management solutions provider Kinaxis (formerly Webplan) as a top performer for a global technology customer.

The GL&SCS 100 Great Supply Chain Partners program is the result of a six-month poll in which the publication asks logistics and supply chain professionals to nominate vendors and service providers whose technology, logistics, transportation or consulting solutions have made a significant impact on their company's efficiency, customer service and overall supply chain performance. In 2005, more than 2,000 nominations were received from small and large companies covering scores of different industries on five continents. More than 450 vendors of every conceivable type of supply chain activity were nominated-from very specialized technologies, to global third-party logistics providers to highly specialized transportation services. The 100 companies that received the most qualified nominations were selected to this years list.

Through commentaries that accompanied most of the ballots, the most common qualities that users looked for in their vendors were as follows: value and cost savings, reliability, exceptional performance, expertise and knowledge base, problem-solving ability, continuous improvement, support, positive culture, global capabilities and comprehensive service.

The nomination cited Kinaxis' ability to provide global visibility and rapid response capabilities to a leading supplier for semiconductor, electronics and network systems companies to help the organization manage changes in demand, understand supply consumption and how to manage supply disruptions, shorten lead times and reduce excess and obsolete inventory. By deploying Kinaxis' RapidResponse solution, the company has been able to develop a core competency in Response Management that enables them to meet both customer and internal objectives by being able to respond effectively to ever present changes in its business. This, in turn, has helped the company save money by reducing excess and obsolete inventory and liability to suppliers resulting from unnecessary materials purchases.

"Kinaxis is thrilled to be recognized with this award again this year," said Randy Littleson, vice president of marketing at Kinaxis. "We continue to see very strong acceptance of Response Management solutions as critical enablers of the next breakthrough in business performance improvements for OEMs and contract manufacturers alike. This honor recognizes that reality."
