Kinder Morgan Prepares to Test Shipment of Ethanol Through Pipeline, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Arrangements are currently under way to begin the testing of shipping ethanol by way of a pipeline in southern Florida. Central Florida Pipeline Company (Taft, Florida), a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (NYSE:KMP) (Houston, Texas), is preparing to ship ethanol through a 195-mile-long pipeline. If successful, the test could possibly reduce some of the logistical challenges of distributing ethanol, which is now only transported by rail, truck or barge. The use of a pipeline could lower the cost of utilizing ethanol because of the reduced shipping cost.
