Kinetex Resources Corporation: Cease Trade Order Issued

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 11, 2009) - Kinetex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:KTX) (the "Company" or "Kinetex") announces that a cease trade order was issued by the British Columbia Securities Commission on May 11, 2009 as the Corporation has not filed its financial statements or management discussion and analysis for the year ended December 31, 2008 within the regulated timeframe. As a result, trading in the common shares of the Company was halted on the TSX Venture Exchange on May 11, 2009.

The Company anticipates filing the required financial statements as soon as possible, and in any event not later than May 15, 2009, and will concurrently apply for a revocation of the cease trade order and a reinstatement of trading.
