LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - King Midas World Entertainment has announced the launch of Operation Tyrant, a captivating, exciting and innovative branded media campaign that is unmatched in the publishing industry on Monday, June 16.

By introducing its trademark concepts through the release of the epic novel "The Seven Sins™: The Tyrant Ascending™" by bestselling author Jon Land, King Midas World Entertainment unveils a dynamic brand and franchise opportunities across its publishing, casino, movie, entertainment and hospitality segments.

The branded media campaign combines traditional elements and specific concepts of the brand including a gold medallion inscribed with an ancient Latin motto, the novel's protagonist and daredevil magnate Michael Tiranno and a time continuum spanning from ancient Rome to modern-day Las Vegas.

Targeting adults 25 to 54, the campaign begins in the Los Angeles area with television and nationally with radio including:


A four-week television schedule with commercials running daily on cable's top channels including Arts & Entertainment (A&E), Discovery Channel, TBS, E! Channel, History Channel, FX and Fox News Channel.


A three-week radio schedule with commercials running on MTV radio networks, "MTV TRL," "Sportstime," "Loveline," "Lionel Show," "Mike O'Meara Show" and "Thom Hartman."

Los Angeles-based Expanded Books produced the radio and television commercials and has been commissioned to distribute the TV spot online.

The innovative branded media campaign is dubbed Operation Tyrant after Michael Tiranno, whose story of a harsh childhood in his native Italy through his meteoric rise and creation of an American empire is truly the stuff of gripping drama.
