King & Spalding Advises Cellu Tissue in Its Sale to Clearwater Paper


ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2010) -  King & Spalding advised Cellu Tissue Holdings, Inc., a North American producer of tissue products, in its definitive agreement to sell the company for $502 million, including $255 million of debt, to Clearwater Paper Corporation, a manufacturer of premium consumer tissue, high-quality bleached paperboard and wood products. The agreement has been approved unanimously by both companies' boards of directors and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2010, following regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions.
