King & Spalding Announces Global Law Firm Alliance

NEW YORK, NY and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Feb 12, 2014) - King & Spalding and 15 other participating law firms have launched a new worldwide legal resource, BECTELLA, a global alliance of law firms with specialty practices in employee benefits, executive compensation, tax, employment and labor law.

BECTELLA was conceived and founded by King & Spalding partner Kenneth A. Raskin. The alliance is intended to be a resource to provide participating law firms' clients with access to a worldwide network of lawyers who are experts in the alliance's specialized practices and to enable participating firms to market their expertise on a global basis. BECTELLA is not a law firm and will provide no legal services.

"Participating firms have established reputations in the global legal community for their work in these practice areas," said Raskin. "Using BECTELLA's global network, lawyers at participating firms coordinate to effectively and efficiently resolve cross-border issues. At the time of its launch, BECTELLA covers 20 countries across five continents, with broader coverage expected. King & Spalding is the sole representative for both the United States and the United Kingdom. Participation in the alliance is by invitation only.
