King & Spalding Expands Its Financial Institutions Practice in New York With the Addition of Debt Finance Partner Ellen M. Snare

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 3, 2014) - King & Spalding has recruited debt finance lawyer Ellen M. Snare as a partner in the firm's financial institutions practice, resident in its New York office. Snare is the first of a number of hires the firm expects to recruit to this practice in New York. She joins King & Spalding from Kirkland & Ellis, where she was a partner.

"Ellen is an excellent leveraged-finance lawyer with extensive experience advising a range of major private equity, finance and middle-market clients," said William H. We welcome her to the firm."

Snare represents lenders and borrowers in connection with a wide variety of debt financings, including LBOs, second lien and subordinated loans, asset-based-lending facilities, restructurings, workouts and debtor-in-possession financings. She received her J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center and B.A. degree from New York University.

Carolyn Alford, leader of King & Spalding's finance practice, said, "We are pleased to add a highly qualified leveraged-finance partner of Ellen's caliber to the finance team. Our private equity, corporate and lender-side clients will be well served by Ellen's capabilities, as we continue building our New York finance practice."

These include a wide array of investment grade and sub-investment grade credit facilities on both a syndicated and single-lender basis. King & Spalding was ranked 6th in the United States for lender representations in 2013, according to Thomson Reuters.

"I am excited to be joining King & Spalding's finance and financial institutions practices and look forward to working with its well-established team of lawyers to assist clients with their financing needs," Snare said.
