King & Spalding Names New Managing Partners for Atlanta, Singapore Offices

ATLANTA, GA and SINGAPORE--(Marketwire - Jul 16, 2012) - King & Spalding has appointed new managing partners for its respective offices in Atlanta and Singapore. Alan J. Prince will serve as the new managing partner for the firm's Atlanta office and John Savage will take over leadership responsibilities in Singapore.

Prince and Savage replace Mason W. Stephenson and Philip R. Weems, respectively, who previously held the Atlanta and Singapore office managing partner positions. Stephenson has been King & Spalding's first and only office managing partner in Atlanta, and after 10 years in that role, has decided to refocus on his real estate practice. Weems, who will continue to serve as co-leader of the firm's global energy practice, will return to the firm's Houston office, while maintaining an active practice in the Asia-Pacific region.

"Mason has provided our Atlanta office with excellent and steady direction for more than a decade, and Philip has played pivotal roles in the establishment and success of our Middle East and, more recently, Singapore offices," said King & Spalding Chairman Robert D. Hays, Jr. "We thank them for their many contributions and also congratulate Alan and John on their new positions. I am sure the firm will benefit from the strong leadership they will provide."

Prince is a partner in King & Spalding's corporate practice group. He has experience in a broad range of corporate finance transactions and mergers and acquisitions, and advises public companies on SEC reporting and disclosure matters and corporate governance issues. He also serves as a counselor to public company boards of directors.

Savage is a partner in King & Spalding's international arbitration practice group and a founding member of the firm's Singapore office. He has worked in Asia for over 10 years and, as the regional arbitration practice's leader, has deep experience in disputes centered in the Asia-Pacific region.
