King & Spalding's International Trade Practice Adds New Partner in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - December 22, 2015) - King & Spalding announced today that international trade litigator Stephen P. Vaughn will join the firm's international trade practice in the Washington, D.C. office as a partner on January 4. Vaughn was previously at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

"Stephen is one of the strongest litigators and most effective advocates practicing before the International Trade Commission today," said Stephen Orava, head of the firm's International Trade practice. "His extensive experience representing U.S. industries before the ITC will enhance our existing expertise and already stellar reputation in this area."

Vaughn began his career as a commercial litigator and transitioned to trade-related litigation almost fifteen years ago. His current practice focuses on representing U.S. manufacturers in antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguard trade remedy cases against dumped and subsidized imports that harm U.S. companies and their workers. Vaughn's practice also includes administrative litigation before the U.S. Department of Commerce, judicial appeals of trade remedy cases, and policy advocacy before the U.S. Congress and relevant agencies. Vaughn received his J.D. from Yale University and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.

"King & Spalding's reputation in the trade area and across other areas of practice was a big draw for me and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues in Washington, Geneva and the rest of the firm," said Vaughn.
