New team members each bring more than 25 years of domain expertise

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2012) - Kirchner Private Capital Group ("KPCG" or the "Company"), a leading North American traditional merchant bank, today announced that it has enhanced its Agriculture and Food and Health and Life Science Integrated Focus Areas with the addition of industry leaders. Paul Schmidt and Gary Robinson bring extensive industry experience to their respective groups and join KPCG as Managing Directors.

Mr. Schmidt brings more than thirty years of operational experience to KPCG and is highly regarded in the agriculture space, having served most recently as President of Merck/EMD Crop BioScience until its acquisition by Novozymes. His distinguished career also includes senior roles at Bayer CropScience, Aventis CropScience, Hoechst Schering AgrEvo, and the Government of Saskatchewan's Agriculture Department. Mr. Schmidt received his degree in Agronomy from the University of Saskatchewan and is based in Raleigh, NC.

Mr. Robinson joins KPCG with broad global experience in healthcare and in-depth knowledge of the medical device and pharmaceuticals subsectors including the radiology, interventional radiology, cardiology, oncology, peripheral vascular, nuclear medicine, automated blood transfusion, wound therapeutics, and ostomy markets. He has held senior roles at Coviden, Haemontics Corp, C. R. Bard, and ConvaTec having worked in the United States, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. Mr. Robinson is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
