Klipfolio Releases Year-End Update: New Funding Helps Drive Growth and Customer Success


OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Jan 5, 2016) -  Klipfolio, a provider of cloud business dashboards, today released its 2015 Year in Review, demonstrating the progress the company has made this year. In February, the company received $6.2 million in funding with an A round led by OMERS and was able to invest significantly in the product and hire new talent to better support its growing customer base.

Important 2015 milestones:

  • Klipfolio now has more than 4000 customers, representing practically every functional area in a company. While strongest in marketing, users are also active in management, finance, sales, development and more.
  • Klipfolio was recognized as a Deloitte Company to Watch, received a Dresner Advisory Service Leadership Award and Klipfolio's customer Jebbit received a Ventana Research Leadership Award for its Klipfolio use.
  • Release of Klipfolio for iPhone and Klipfolio for Android.
  • Klipfolio customers built more than 650,000 Klips and accessed more than 500,000 datasets. On average, Klipfolio dashboards collectively refreshed more than 1 billion times. There were more than 11 billion formula executions and 20.4 million dashboard views. 
  • The company has hired 20 additional employees, primarily development and customer success team members. The company moved into its expanded headquarters in April.
  • Monthly recurring revenue (MRR) doubled, showing substantial subscription growth and business momentum.
  • Klipfolio now provides documented access to 100 different data sources (and through its web accessible resource connector can connect to 100s of others) and offers 300 templates in the Klip Gallery. Klipfolio offers access to more data sources than any other competing product.
  • The company also released new KlipStarts, quick-start dashboards featuring such commonly used data tools as Google Analytics and Google AdWords.
