Klondike Star Announces Expanded Winter Drilling Program

SEATTLE--(CCNMatthews - Oct 5, 2005) -

Donald W. Flinn, Vice President of Operations for Klondike Star Mineral Corporation (OTCBB:KDSM) is pleased to announce that it is doubling the planned winter drilling program on the Indian River Placer Property by adding a second drill crew to the work programs. (See press release dated September 9, 2005)

The addition of a second crew will accomplish infill drilling in locations drilled last year. New areas in the remaining leases will be drilled during the 2005 winter drilling program.

The previous drilling program tested 12 widely spaced locations with gold recovered from 87% of the holes as previously reported (September 9, 2005). Placer leases which were drilled have subsequently been converted into placer claims.

Mr. Donald Flinn, P.Eng., V.P. Operations commented, "The addition of a second drill crew will help us reach our objective of developing a large placer mine. Placer mining represents a cash flow opportunity for the company which would contribute to the company's most important objective, the exploration of its mineral rights in the Klondike Mining District."
