Klondike Star to Commence Scoping Study

SEATTLE--(CCNMatthews - Oct 4, 2005) -

Donald W. Flinn, Vice President, Operations is pleased to report that Klondike Star Mineral Corporation (OTCBB:KDSM) is commencing a scoping study on the Lone Star zone of it's majority owned mineral claims in the Klondike Mining District.

A team of seasoned professionals consisting of engineers, an economist, environmental consultants as well as staff geologists and staff professionals has been assembled to undertake the scoping study.

A scoping study is the first level study that is performed on a mineral deposit to determine its economic viability. This is usually performed to determine whether the expense of a full pre-feasibility study and later a full feasibility study is warranted. Much can be determined from a scoping study.

A pre-feasibility study is a comprehensive study of the viability of a mineral project that has advanced to a stage where the mining method has been established, and which, if an effective method of mineral processing has been determined, includes a financial analysis based on reasonable assumptions of technical, engineering, operating, economic factors and the other relevant factors which are sufficient for a qualified person, acting reasonably, to determine if all or part of the mineral resource may be classified as a mineral reserve.
