Knobias, Inc. Announces Micropac Industries Inc as the SPOT of the Week in Its Small-Cap ClipReport

RIDGELAND, MS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 24, 2005 -- Knobias, Inc. (OTC BB: KNBS) announced today that it has selected Micropac Industries Inc (OTC BB: MPAD) as the SPOT of the week in the Knobias Small-Cap "ClipReport."

Micropac Industries, Inc. (OTC BB: MPAD) manufactures and distributes various types of hybrid microelectronic circuits, solid-state relays, power operational amplifiers, and optoelectronic components and assemblies. Its products are used as components in a broad range of military, space and industrial systems, including aircraft instrumentation and navigation systems, power supplies, electronic controls, computers, medical devices, and high-temperature products.

The Bulls say ...

-What More Can You Ask For? This little known Texas manufacturer seems to have it all. Revenue growth (+15.8%); Earnings growth (+52.7%); Expanding gross margins (+40.9%); Expanding net margins (+12.2%); Growing backlog (+28.6%); Solid balance sheet ($10M book, no debt); Industry diversification (33% commercial, 56% military, 11% space); Small public float (616,238 shares, 76% held by insiders); Long-term uptrend (stock +450% since 2002); Low valuation (trailing P/E=9.8).

The Bears say ...

-Sector Adjustments: Rightly so, MPAD has significantly increased sales to military markets. This shift is most likely due to increased defense spending and has helped offset a decrease in other "civilian" sales. MPAD appears to be experiencing some difficulties in more "economically sensitive" sectors and has warned, "While sales in Q4 are expected to increase over Q3, Q1-06 sales are expected to decrease due to completion of significant contracts ... supplied to semiconductor equip manufacturers." For the first 9 months of 2005, new orders have decreased -5.1% despite reporting a +28.6% in backlog.
