Andre Vassi, the owner and designer of Bay Street's Vassi Menswear, today announced he'll proudly be adding a second tie to his 'Dump Trump' tie lineup. Vassi created the first 'Undercover Trump Dumper' tie in response to customer demand and after Trump internationally mocked New York Times reporter Serge F. Kovaleski for his physical disability.
He designed the second tie after Trump's shocking response to the family of slain Muslim American soldier Capt. Humayun Khan during the Democratic National Convention. In honour of the Khan family and all Gold Star families of fallen soldiers, Vassi has designed a Gold Star 'Dump Trump' tie. All profits will go to an American anti-bullying charity of the Khans' choice.
"We started the 'Dump Trump' tie campaign based on customer demand and to have a little fun with the presidential process from north of the border," said Vassi. "But this has surpassed the issue of politics and turned into the much greater issue of character. Many Canadians, myself included, were deeply disappointed by Trump's comments and I think it's important to send the Khans a message that Canadians stand behind them, regardless of personal politics."
Vassi is pleading the fifth on his own political preferences but calls on Canadians to support the Khan family and preordering the Gold Star/Dump Trump Tie by emailing Vassi at dumptrumptie@vassi.ca.
The first Dump Trump Tie can be purchased as of August 10th, at the Vassi First Canadian Place location or online at http://vassi.ca/ties/. All profits from that tie will be donated to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
About the Gold Star 'Dump Trump' Tie
The tie features gold stars on the front, a purple heart in the lower left corner of the tie and an 'HK' in honour of Capt. Humayun Khan. Like the original 'Dump Trump' tie, the gold star tie has a bold 'Dump Trump' statement on the back.
The Gold Star tie was designed to honor the Khans. All profits will be donated to an American anti-bullying charity of the Khan's choice.

A limited release of 'Dump Trump' ties will be available at the Vassi First Canadian Place location starting Wednesday, August 10th. And can be ordered online at http://vassi.ca/ties/. The $100, 100% silk ties are hand made in Italy (not China, like many Trump menswear products).
