KNOVA Names Sham Chotai Vice President of Engineering

Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Veteran Joins KNOVA to Lead Engineering Team

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 11, 2006 -- KNOVA Software, Inc.™, (OTC BB: KNVS), a leading provider of Service Resolution Management applications, announced today that Sham Chotai, has joined the Company as vice president of engineering. In his new role, Mr. Chotai has responsibility for overall product development and engineering.

Chotai brings more than 18 years of enterprise software experience leading the development of both applications and core technologies. Prior to joining KNOVA, Mr. Chotai was co-founder and vice president of engineering for DecisionView Software where he conceived DecisionView's analytics technology and was responsible for overall product development and strategy.

Prior to DecisionView, Mr. Chotai was chief technology officer and executive vice president of Imagicast (XperEx), a provider of location based multi-media networks. At Imagicast, Mr. Chotai had responsibility for all hardware and software development, IT operations, and product strategy. Mr. Chotai has also provided technology guidance to startups and public companies including Cognos, Engage and Red Brick Systems.

Mr. Chotai has a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, with a specialty in adaptive/intelligent control systems.
