Komunik Announces Results for the First Quarter Ended July 31, 2007

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 14, 2007) - Komunik Corporation ("Komunik") (TSX:KOM) announces that is had filed its quarterly results and related Management's Discussion and Analysis for the first quarter ending July 31, 2007. These unaudited interim consolidated financial statements have been prepared by Komunik on the basis of currently available information and have not been reviewed by Komunik's auditors. These documents are available at www.sedar.com.

Komunik's revenues have increased significantly from $1.6M to $14.5M. Its earnings before income tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) have almost doubled from $0.22M to $0.41M in the same period, considering the non-cash expense of stock based compensation.

These results include operations for the Komunik Konversation business unit (formerly Komunik) for the whole three months, but only 48 days of Datamark Systems Group Inc.'s ("Datamark") operations, being the period since the acquisition of Datamark by Komunik on June 12, 2007.

Finally, Komunik elected to keep its financial year-end in April. The business results are impacted due to seasonality in the business in general, and more specifically in the print sector.

Komunik's executive team have started executing their plan to transform Komunik Datamark's operations by notably implementing the following changes: reorganizing Komunik into three business units, closing the Markham plant and the announcement regarding the acquisition of Globel Direct, Inc., a company located in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, through a plan of arrangement pursuant to the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act and Section 192(1) of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta).

"Komunik has initiated changes that will have profound impacts, not only on our structure but also on our corporate culture. We are confident that our plan to transform Komunik into a Canadian relationship marketing powerhouse will increase its performance and its position for growth" said Alain Paquin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Komunik.

"The integration of Datamark and its partial restructuring is reflected in the overall performance of the Company. Nonetheless, our balance sheet is strong with good current ratios and significant long-term assets", mentioned Sebastien P. Demers, Chief Financial Officer of Komunik.
