Konica Minolta to Exhibit Diagnostic Imaging Portfolio at 2016 Urgent Care Fall Conference

Live Ultrasound Scanning Demonstrations to Be Conducted in Booth

WAYNE, NJ--(Marketwired - September 27, 2016) - UCAOA Booth #710 - Konica Minolta Healthcare announced today it will showcase its diagnostic imaging equipment line-up at the Urgent Care Association of America's (UCAOA) 2016 Conference Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Nashville, TN.

The UCAOA membership consists of more than 2,700 centers representing approximately 27,000 urgent care clinical and business professionals from the United States and abroad. Urgent care centers play a vital role in healthcare, bridging the gap from physician's office to hospital for patients with high-quality, cost-effective care for common illnesses and non-life threatening episodic events. A significant benefit is keeping patients from costly emergency department visits.

"Urgent care is a growing market for Konica Minolta," said Bruce Ashby, Vice President of Digital Radiography, Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas. "Most urgent care centers can treat fractures, take X-rays, and conduct lab tests on site. They need high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic equipment and Konica Minolta Healthcare offers a wide range of imaging systems, including X-ray and ultrasound, to assist with these needs."

Live Ultrasound Demonstrations

Leading the product line-up will be the SONIMAGE HS1 Ultrasound System. For the first time, Konica Minolta will conduct live ultrasound scanning at the booth to showcase the system's image quality and to demonstrate workflow efficiency.

The SONIMAGE HS1 is a compact superior imaging system with an intuitive touchscreen for rapid and confident evaluation. It offers best-in-class image quality, ease-of-use, and workflow efficiency. The broad frequency linear probe, L18-4, scans both deep and superficial structures for confident musculoskeletal tissue evaluation.

Digital X-ray and Image Review and Sharing

A wide range of Digital X-ray imaging options including the AeroDR Wireless Flat Panel Detector with CS-7 Control Station, and Digital Radiology Straight Arm System with Ultra acquisition software, along with the Exa platform for image review and sharing will also be on display.

  • The Exa Platform provides the infrastructure for managing data across the imaging workflow. It is a web-based platform that was the first PACS to enable Zero Footprint full-featured diagnostic viewing. Exa works on any consumer grade PC with any operating system without plug-ins or installations. It boasts an extremely configurable dashboard and custom workflow design as well as advanced dictation and viewing tools.
  • The Digital Radiography Straight Arm System offers an advanced digital X-ray solution in an efficient and compact design. The system features a 17" x 17" detector for superior image quality and allows for all imaging views, including wheelchair and table work, for maximum patient flexibility.
