KoreConX Announces Speakers for Equity Crowdfunding 102 Canadian Tour

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - November 23, 2015) - As part of the previously announced KoreConX Equity Crowdfunding 102 Cross-Canada Tour, Oscar Jofre, CEO of KoreConX, and global thought-leader in equity crowdfunding, has announced a number of high profile speakers for the upcoming tour, which begins today in Toronto.

Equity Crowdfunding is a growing phenomenon around the world. The seminars provide an introduction to this disruptive phenomenon. Sessions will take place in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Halifax.

It covers what equity crowdfunding is, what laws and regulations apply in Canada, how it differs from the US, and what makes Canadian equity crowdfunding great. Oscar will be joined by Andrew McLeod of RentMoola, which recently raised $1.2 million in Canada's largest equity crowdfunding deal to date, and Judeh Siwady of Spacefy, which closed Canada's first deal at $300,000 this past October to discuss what they learned in their campaigns.

David Shore of OurCrowd and Chad Williams of Klondike Strike will talk about equity crowdfunding portals in Canada, their successes, their process, and the future. Raj Dewan of Weirfoulds LLP, Giancarlo Salvo, and Michael Stephens of Dentons will talk about the legal situation in Canada.

"Klondike Strike will soon be an important part of the Canadian mine finance landscape," said Chad Williams, CEO of Klondike Strike. "For the first time ever, investors will be given the equal opportunity to participate in important fundraising efforts by leading growth companies in the mineral sector, and we are so pleased to have the chance to speak about our goals and experiences at ECF102 in Toronto."
