Kratos Releases Newest Versions of NeuralStar and dopplerVUE Network Management Products

New Features Include Enhanced Real-Time Intelligence for Enterprises and Powerful Physical Security Monitoring Capabilities

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 7, 2011) - Kratos Networks™ announced new releases for its network management products: NeuralStar® version 9.8 for enterprise-class distributed management and dopplerVUE® version 2.3 for business-class networks. Among new features, the releases deliver industry-leading real-time intelligence capabilities and powerful functionality for integrating physical security monitoring with management of other IT infrastructure.

In increasingly complex enterprise environments, IT managers are flooded with so many events and alarms that identifying the root cause of a problem can be a challenge. The new releases of NeuralStar and dopplerVUE provide an easy-to-use, wizard-driven interface that allows IT managers to produce more meaningful and granular alerts including the ability to perform sophisticated Complex Event Processing correlations that integrate heterogeneous but related types of management data. For example, IT managers can accelerate root-cause and impact analysis by integrating and correlating management data about the availability and performance of applications, servers, network elements, and security components.

In addition, the unique Kratos intelligence architecture allows NeuralStar 9.8 to process extremely large volumes of streaming event data in memory, robustly seeking out meaningful patterns across large or distributed, enterprise-grade networks. This capability enables IT managers to perform near-instantaneous analysis, proactively identify and prevent issues before they impact users, and dramatically lower the Mean-Time-To-Resolution (MTTR).

"The challenge in nearly every enterprise is removing latency and enabling quicker response time to expedite troubleshooting for time-sensitive events such as security intrusions, network bandwidth saturation, and business application performance bottlenecks," said Mike Smith, Vice President of Kratos Networks. "IT managers need real-time intelligence to help determine which events deserve immediate attention. NeuralStar 9.8 with its deep data gathering, root cause analytics, and intelligent response features enables consistently higher performance and reliability."

Both NeuralStar and dopplerVUE releases also feature enhanced real-time change monitoring capabilities that alert IT managers instantly when a network change has occurred to help isolate potential issues and respond quickly to outages.

In addition, since network, IT and security are increasingly converging over IP, Kratos released a new module for dopplerVUE 2.3 that provides a single view integrating IT management with physical security operations. dopplerVUE has been integrated with Cisco's Video Surveillance Operations Manager (VSOM) and Physical Access Manger (CPAM) to deliver the most robust monitoring capabilities for security conscious environments. dopplerVUE monitors the entire video surveillance delivery chain from the IP cameras, network switch, and physical infrastructure to the Cisco Video Surveillance Media Servers. Kratos is a Cisco Technology Ecosystem Program partner in networked physical security. Cisco is the first solution to be monitored, with additional vendors to be supported soon.

"The consequences of a breakdown in a physical security system have never been higher," explained David Fitzgerald, Vice President of Business Development for Henry Brothers Electronics, a Kratos company. "With dopplerVUE 2.3, IT and physical security professionals can easily identify and resolve current and impending issues, increase outage impact awareness, and accelerate the remediation of problems."

Kratos will be exhibiting at Cisco Live! from July 11-14 in booth 2072 showcasing the new product releases and two new free desktop applications to monitor Cisco VSOM Servers and network traffic.
