KWG MacFadyen Drilling Progressing Well

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2007) - KWG Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KWG) reports that it has now recovered kimberlite drill core from three of the five targets, in amounts that are adequate to constitute a reliable mini-bulk sample from each target.

More than 546 metres of NQ core-sized kimberlite sample material was recovered from the Good Friday pipe, from six lengths of cores recovered from two collar set-up locations. One wedge deviation set up was used in the first hole and three were used in the second hole. The technique proved highly effective in delineating some of the limits of the kimberlite pipe while recovering an adequate quantity of kimberlite from which to collect a mini bulk sample, without the cost of drilling through overburden for each length of core sample recovered.

The MacFadyen #1 pipe was sampled next, with one collar set-up location, from which an initial hole and two wedge deviation cores were able to recover more than 525 metres of kimberlite. The drill was then moved to the south extension of the MacFadyen #2 pipe where a first hole proved very difficult in the recovery of almost 63 metres of kimberlite. Drilling is now progressing more productively from a second collar location on the main part of the MacFadyen #2 south target. By March 24, a depth of 84 metres had been reached and core samples recovered. The present plan is to move the drill to sample first the MacFadyen #2 target. Then the drill will be moved on two exploration targets to the north-east and immediately south of MacFadyen #1. However warmer spring weather will begin to dictate the program's progress from here onward.

The core recovered from this drilling program will be analyzed to determine the chemistry of the kimberlite, the geochemistry of the indicator minerals and the characteristics of the diamond population in terms of grade and quality. Previous sampling determined that the indicator mineral characteristics of the MacFadyen #1 kimberlite, are analogous to those of the Victor Pipe which is now being prepared for mining. The current mini-bulk sampling program is designed to provide kimberlitic materials; kimberlite, rocks, indicator minerals and diamonds, fit to be analyzed in such a way as to provide reliable results, even if they are preliminary. By the time the program is completed, three previously known kimberlite pipes: MacFadyen #1 and #2 and Good Friday as well as two adjoining geophysical interpreted targets: MacFadyen #1 south and MacFadyen #2 south which have not been previously drilled will be properly evaluated.
