Kyle Keenan, RN, BSN Joins Medical Faculty Associates' Innovative Practice Section as Director of Remote Medical Programs

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 1, 2009) - Medical Faculty Associates' Innovative Practice Section has appointed Kyle Keenan, RN, BSN as Director of Remote Medical Programs, the Department announced recently. Keenan will oversee all aspects of Maritime Medical Access (MMA) while building the department's worldwide telemedicine service. In operation since 1989, Maritime Medical Access provides a vital link to the delivery of appropriate medical care for shipping vessels, aircraft, yachts and teams in remote locations.

Keenan comes to Medical Faculty Associates from Adventist HealthCare where he was a charge nurse. Before Adventist he served as a nurse corps officer for the United States Navy at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. At Medical Faculty Associates, he'll work with Neal Sikka, M.D. Director, Innovative Practice and Christopher Lang, M.D. Director, Global Health Services.

Keenan holds a BSN degree in nursing from the University of North Florida and is currently enrolled in the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland College Park. He has consulted extensively on military and operational medicine at the national and global level.
