Kyle L. Janek, M.D., Honored in Austin With Bob Bullock Award for Outstanding Public Stewardship


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - e.Republic's Government Technology Conference Southwest honored the 2013 recipient of the Bob Bullock Award for Outstanding Public Stewardship last night at a ceremony held in Austin, Texas.

Texas Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner, Dr. Kyle Janek, is this year's recipient. Appointed in September of 2012 by Governor Rick Perry, Dr. Janek oversees the operations of the five health and human services agencies serving more than 56,000 Texans. Previously, he served for eight years in the Texas House of Representatives and five years in the state Senate. Janek is also a board-certified anesthesiologist who has sponsored several medical missions to Central America and has been in private practice since 1986.
