AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - February 15, 2010) - L2 Consulting Services, Inc (L2) has been awarded a project to amend the company's existing, Boeing 767 series Honeywell Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS), Supplemental Type Certificate (ST10466SC). The amendment will add the Honeywell SmartRunway™ and SmartLanding™ features to the existing RAAS installation.
L2 President Mark Lebovitz said, "Upon project completion, L2 will be able to provide Boeing 767-200/300/400ER customers the next generation runway safety features of Honeywell's SmartRunway™ and SmartLanding™."
The L2 STC amendment specifically calls for the addition of:
- Taxiway Landing and Short Runway RAAS Cautions
- Stabilized Approach Monitor
- Altimeter Monitor
- Takeoff Flap Configuration Monitor
- Long Landing Monitor functions
The final certification is expected to be awarded by June of this year and will be installed on an undisclosed VIP aircraft.
